Yesterday I read from pages 57-72. The kids were still lerking around the mall in the pitch black, and they could faintly hear the security mans TV. The young girl had to feel her way to the bathroom, and when she was done they found a deli part of the store. The young boy cupped out what they thought was rice pudding, but wasn't whatsoever. They both went back up to under the beds in the Sealy store, and when they awoke the store was very busy. They agreed to part their ways and meet back at noon in the underwear section of the Macys. While the young girl was pretending to look at the coat section, a group of trainees in the Junior Miss section was walking by One of the trainees asked their instructor if the instructor would help a customer, so that they could see how she truly works. The instructor pointed out the young girl, and also pointed out the young girls fashion no-no's.

Today I read from pages 43-56. The girl and the boy doze off underneath the bed matress, and a night shift watchman made his rounds. The watchmans cat had snuck under the bed and laid down on both the boy and the girls head, but they contained themselves so that they wouldn't get caught. Once the night watchman made his rounds, he went on upstairs to watch the "Late Night Show". Once he had left, the boy and the girl went around, trying to fufill their stomaches. They went down one floor and smelt the sweet smell of cheese- they were in the wine and cheese part of the "fancy" store. Once they past that smell, then came the over-powering smell of rich perfumes.

Today I read from page 40-42. We didn't get too much time today during class, so I didn't read too much. In the reading the boy and the girl snuck into the mall, and waited until the mall closed down and hid underneath a matress in a Sealy's.

Today I read from pages 33-37. Nothing much happened, except that the girl and the boy (who's names haven't yet appeared) have made it to there final destination. They were walking through the crowded city, her stomach rumbling at the smell of the sidewalk vendors who were selling popcorn and hotdogs. All they had was a nickle, and the little girl decided she needed luck more than money, so she tossed the nickle into a vast wishing well of unpromised wishes.

New Book!

Today I started reading, The Secrets at the Mall. I read from page one to page 32. This book tells the story of a twelve year old girl suffering through middle school. She has no friends or parents, and lives with her aunt who works all the time. One day a new kid came to her school. He was a sixth grader who got moved up into seventh grade because of his smart wits. He was faced with even more challenges though, being a short kid who had not gone through puberty. All of the "popular' boys in the seventh grade stuffed him in a locker. The girl new what pain the "new kid" was going through, and once the popular boys had left, she helped the new kid out of the locker. After that, they walked through town together and came across an abandoned house where mothers had been picketing against their childrens safety. There, the two explored the house until they heard the popular boys outside. The boys were going to make this house their clubhouse, until the little boy had thrown a brick at the popular boy leader, and yelled at him for throwing him in the locker. After the popular boys ran off, the new kid and the unknown girl round up 4 dollars and take a bus out of the town to get away from it all. I think the two will fall in love, but get found by their loved ones. I think then the boy will be sent back to his foster parents, where they decide to give him to another foster care facility.

I know I haven't posted in a while, and that's basically because I haven't had much time to read. In a couple days or so, I will be starting a new book, so look out for my new posts!

Today I didn't get to much reading done, but I read from 65-66. Nothing much happened in these two pages, but Maddie is still upset about her boyfriend not even realizing she's ever there.

Due to my busy schedule, I have made my leasure reading times for four days a week.

Wednesday, October 22, 2008

Today, I read from pages 62-64. Nothing much has really changed, except for that Maddie and Angela are starting to plan a suprise party for Zoe, whose birthday is in one week. Zoe has no clue whats coming for her, and I bet she'll be pretty suprised.

Saturday, October 18, 2008

I read another couple pages yesterday, from page 57-62. Nothing too new with the bff's, just that Maddie's so called "boyfriend" isn't really sure who he likes. He is juggling between her and another girl, and can't decide who he likes.

Thursday, October 16, 2008

Today, during DEAR, i read from pages 30-56. In these 26 pages, Maddie had gone on three dates with her boyfriend, who she thinks is the "one", and she had also gotten grounded for lying to her mother about her where-abouts. Zoe, on on the other hand, had been going to church with her teacher Mr. H, and is thoroughly enjoying it. And lastly, Angela has been doing pretty much the same, except for her one mishap at work where her one co-worker had microwaved a beetle and got fired on the spot.

Tuesday, October 14, 2008

Today, I read from pages 27-29. I only had a few minutes to read, because I volunteered to be the server. In my reading today Maddie and Zoe, two of the three main characters who happen to be best friends, were conversing about how their other friend Angela and how she made Zoe feel not so happy. Angela had grammatically corrected Zoe, and sorry was not in the mood. Zoe then spilled out all of her emotions to Maddie, and Maddie reminded her of all of her beauties.

Free Reading Book Number 1

As of last week, I am reading the book TTYL, and book in all IM lingo. This book was written by Lauren Myracle, and tells the story of three teenage girls that are currently in highschool. These girls gossip about everything from their boyfriends to the girls in their school they hate. I will keep you updated everyday on what I have read.
